About BCFC

Bendigo City FC has both a Senior and Junior football program, competing in Men’s State League 5, Women’s State League (TBA), Girls Community Premier League, Boys Metropolitan and Junior Boys Youth State League (YSL) Victoria.  The club is based at the Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve in Bendigo.

Our mission

Bendigo City FC is uniquely placed to capture the entire football (soccer) community in central Victoria, as well as having a reach into the wider Bendigo sporting community through our status as the premier football club.

We also have a connection to the wider football community in metropolitan Melbourne and throughout Victoria, competing against clubs across the state.

Our vision

Contribute to the growth of football and the development of a richer football community through successful Junior and Senior programs.

To be the best developer of players and coaches in regional Victoria.

Bendigo City FC exists to provide an opportunity for aspirational footballers of all ages, from Bendigo and surrounding regions, to participate in their sport at the highest level possible.

We support our players in exploring and maximising their potential as footballers, along with a focus on their personal growth and overall wellbeing.

Our values

Development

Continuing to be better in everything that we do, both on and off the football pitch.

Commitment

To be better requires a commitment to personal effort, to achieving continual improvement, and commitment to those around us.

Respect

We respect teammates, Club members, officials, all players including the opposition, and spectators. This is a reflection on us as individuals and a Club.

Achievement

In order to develop and progress, we value and celebrate success. We also accept growth through lessons learnt and continually aim to achieve our best.

History

Our Journey and Achievements

Bendigo City was established as FC Bendigo in 2014, competing at NPL1 level. From 2015 to 2017, playing as Bendigo City FC, the Club fielded senior teams in NPL competitions with varying success.

Between 2018 and 2021, Bendigo City FC operated as a junior only club, fielding teams from Under 13 through to Under 18 level, laying important foundations for future growth.

In 2022, the Club proudly reintroduced Men’s and Reserves Under 23 teams, competing in Men’s State League 5.

The 2023 season marked a significant milestone when the Bendigo City FC Under 18 squad qualified for NPL1. This was the first team in the Club’s history to achieve such a high grading.

Celebrating 2025

The 2025 season was one of the most successful in our Club’s history and a true reflection of the growth of Bendigo City FC.

Our Men’s team achieved promotion while securing their place in Men’s State League 5. Our Senior Under 23 team was crowned champions, a fantastic achievement that highlighted the strength of our senior pathway.

In an outstanding first season in the Girls Community Premier League, our Girls program exceeded all expectations. Our Under 15 and Under 17 teams both won their respective championships, while our Under 13 team finished second, an exceptional result in the Club’s inaugural CPL season.

Looking Ahead to 2026

In 2026, Bendigo City FC continues to grow and evolve. The introduction of a senior women’s team, along with the launch of a boys and girls football academy, will complete our football program and provide the clear, connected pathways required for our players to thrive.

With teams representing Bendigo across the Men’s State League, Junior National Premier League, Metropolitan Melbourne League and Girls Community Premier League, alongside our ongoing SAP program, Bendigo City FC is entering an exciting new chapter.

This journey reflects our commitment to development, opportunity and excellence, and ensures a strong and sustainable future for football in our community.
